Facility Guidelines

At the S.H.T.C. our number one aim is the safety and care of all, human, horse, K9, etc. With that in mind, we ask that you be respectful to your other students and guests and follow the facility guidelines. Please do not ask for exceptions!!!

 

  • Speed limit on the facility is 5 mph
  • Close all gates and doors and attach latches
  • Helmets suggested
  • You must have a current waiver on file
  • No jumping or roping without Ross, Dawn or an FSH Pro present
  • Put all trash in proper containers
  • Clean up after yourself and your horse
  • Put your tack away (if you leave it out it is bound to be used by someone else and misplaced)
  • No smoking when there is a roof over your head (if you must smoke please clean up your butts!!)
  • Use only your own equipment unless you have permission to use someone else’s

 

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

 

  • You must provide proof that the following veterinary tests/vaccines have been administered within 1 year and no less than 2 weeks prior to your arrival at the S.H.T.C
    1. Coggins
    2. Rabies
    3. Tetanus
    4. Strangles

 

  • You must provide proof that the following vaccines have been administered within 6 months and no less than 2 weeks prior to your arrival at the S.H.T.C.
    1. Eastern and Western Encephalitis
    2. West Nile Virus
    3. Rhinopneumonitis (Equine Herpes Virus (EHV) strains 1 and 4)

 

The health of all animals is of the utmost importance to us and therefore we reserve the right to make changes to these requirements as trends in veterinary medicine progress or in times of crisis.  Remember, it is always in the best interest of the horse and always under facility veterinary recommendations based on generally accepted practice.
