Ross and Dawn have put a lot of thought and planning into this school and
the result is awesome! The knowledge offered in this school is practical
and essential for every equine enthusiast. In fact, most students are in
awe of how they are able to leave this five-day school with more knowledge
than many professionals! |

|
|
The school consists of five days and comes with the FSH tuition back
guarantee – if, at the end of this school, you feel you or your horse did
not improve, we will refund your tuition. To our knowledge, no one else
in the industry offers this! This is just another one of the reasons why
we are recognized as leaders in the industry. |

Horsemanship 101 is more intense than a clinic but less
demanding than the Apprenticeship Programs. Upon completion of this
school, about half of the students will continue with private instruction
from Ross and Dawn or one of the FSH professional horsemen. The other half
will go on to the Apprenticeship programs. |

The curriculum consists of two days of round penning
where you will learn how to appropriately use the round pen, establish a
relationship between you and your horse where your horse looks to you for
leadership and you will learn appropriate cues using logical maneuvers to
get a desired response. The next part of the curriculum is a day of
groundwork where you will learn the four foundation concepts which include
teaching your horse to go forward on cue, directing the hip, backing up
and giving a relaxed response to pressure. Days 4 & 5 will be where we
carry over our ground skills to the saddle and put it all together!
Interspersed throughout the curriculum will be several hours of classroom
time where theory related to technique and body mechanics are covered. |
