EQUINE EDUCATION" |

Ross
Falisi, Dawn
Falisi and their two children, Reena
Falisi, who is 4 years old and Rocky
Falisi,
who is 3 years old, reside in Ocala, Florida, “The Horse Capital of the
World”. They live on the Circle R Circle D Ranch which encompasses the
Falisi Horsemanship Training Center (F.H.T.C.). Their love of animals,
especially horses and dogs, is evident to anyone who has ever opened the
gate to their farm. The entire ranch was built with the comfort of all
family members, animals included, as its primary goal. |

Ross
Falisi and Dawn
Falisi have each individually come from a long
history of involvement in the equine world. Ross
Falisi with a family history in
the calvary, Rodeo, and time spent
with famous horsemen and even horsemen who are not so famous but whose
abilities are unquestionably remarkable. Dawn
Falisi has successfully competed on
the A circuit, she has traveled to Europe and trained with Germany’s Rheitlhrers,
and the masters
from Vienna Austria's "Spanish Ridding School". Her background as a Physical Therapist has allowed her to
understand mechanics of horse and rider far more advanced than most.
In addition to their common interest in the equine in general, both Ross
Falisi and Dawn
Falisi had an interest in finding a better way to work with their
horses. |
 |
| |
| They had witnessed many atrocious training methods over
the years, people using pain to force a horse into performing, using every
kind of gadget imaginable to make a horse obedient, getting a bigger bit
when they couldn’t control their horse and so on and so on. Through their
observations, they realized that when a trainer ran out of knowledge,
frustration set in followed by abuse of the horse. Together, they turned
to the horse to give them the answers they were looking for. By
understanding the relationship that must exist between horse and human and
how to establish that relationship, a system based on theory was born,
that system was Falisi Horsemanship. |

 |
Ross
Falisi and Dawn
Falisi together continue to develop this system
with knowledge gained from every horse they work with. This, along with
conveying this information to their students is a very important part of Falisi Horsemanship. Their light hearted approach combined with
contagious energy and obvious love of what they do provides a learning
environment that is truly unique. |
